Hammond Communications Group designs and implements a mobile digital signage system for Alltech
Hammond Communications Group (HCG), a leading supplier of turnkey digital signage solutions, was hired by Alltech to design and implement a digital signage solution for their tradeshow booth. When you attend as many trade shows throughout the world as Alltech in one year, the use of innovative communications mediums such as digital signage can have a dramatic affect on your image. Alltech’s vision included the use of LCD display monitors throughout the tradeshow booth as a medium for communicating various product offerings, company information and technological advances. The challenge, how do you present multiple high definition videos and other rich media presentations, some of which call for split screen graphics, in a manner that is efficient and effective?
Hammond engineered a mobile digital signage system that is based on Scala’s InfoChannel software platform. Four Scala media players drive content on eight LCD displays and one Plasma display. The booth is comprised of three columns, each with a 42” and 23” display, and a walk up counter with a 52” and 23” display. Content on the displays includes a variety of information on product and technology customized for each event.
Hammond’s digital signage solution allows the Alltech marketing crew to create new and custom content for the next show even when the booth is hundreds of miles away. Using the Scala designer software, Alltech can easily create HD quality animated messages relevant to each event. When the booth comes back from a show, the media players are synchronized to the content manager and within minutes the booth’s display content has been customized for the next show.
“It was difficult for Alltech to keep their booth relevant for all the worldwide shows they attend,” notes Craig Miller, VP of Interactive Media at Hammond. “Now, every time the booth comes back, they can synchronize new “event related” content effectively customizing the booth for each event.”
