Holzer Clinic expands digital signage system to include exam room touch screens.

Hammond recently worked with Holzer Clinic to expand their passive digital signage system by including interactive touch screen displays in the exam room. The solution utilizes HP TouchSmart “all-in-one” displays that are wall mounted in exam rooms throughout the clinic. Holzer staff and patients can access informative videos on a variety of topics (such as healthy living), complimentary services and more. The goal is to improve patient education and communication through the interactive use of videos.

“Holzer Clinic is broadening the communication channel by leveraging the capabilities of the existing digital signage system to include interactive kiosks” said Dean Reverman, Director of Sales and Marketing. “For three years, Holzer has benefited from passive digital signage in the waiting rooms. Now, they are adding interactivity in the exam room for on-demand education.”

The solution has both a passive and interactive mode. When patients first come into the exam room, the display is “passive” and runs a playlist of messages that includes upcoming events, cross promotion of services, Clinic news and more. At anytime, patients or Holzer staff can interact with the system to access a library of videos by navigating the touch screen interface. Once in the library, users can view a number of education videos on topics ranging from weight loss to diabetes information, as well as watch Holzer produced videos, where as Holzer doctors explain services and procedures.
