Hammond Communications Group is beginning the facility site visit phase for the 2017 NCAA Division I Men’s & Women’s Basketball Tournaments. Site visits will be conducted at 19 different venues across the United States and are a precursor to Hammond’s Press Conference & Media Support Services responsibilities relative to the upcoming tournaments. Venues include Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, American Airlines Center in Dallas, Madison Square Garden in New York and 15 other prestigious venues. The site visits are an integral aspect of the planning process to effectively produce and distribute the NCAA Pressers.
Hammond will produce and distribute nearly 350 Coach and Student-Athlete Interviews concerning the Men’s Basketball First Four games, Men’s Basketball First and Second round games; Men’s and Women’s Basketball Regional games and Men’s and Women’s Basketball Final Four games. These press conferences will be distributed at the venue in the Audio / Video Distribution area, as well as via satellite uplink, live streaming via YouTube and FTP based delivery.
Hammond’s relationship with the NCAA began in 1985 at the Men’s Final Four held at Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY. Since then, Hammond has added several other NCAA Championships, such as: Division I Baseball (Men’s College World Series), Division I Softball (Women’s College World Series), Division I Men’s Ice Hockey (Frozen Four), Division I Women’s Volleyball and the FCS Football Championships.
Jessamine County Public Library’s Video Wall, individual Digital Meeting Room Signs and Lobby Digital Signage project was recently completed by Hammond Communications Group’s digital Audio / Video integration team. In addition to a 3×3 video wall and multiple digital signage LCD systems, Hammond also delivered eight (8) Android-based all-in-one media players mounted outside of each meeting room, which are controlled by their new Scala Content Management platform and Digital Signage software.
Each screen displays individual room’s schedules for the current day. The displays are updated in real-time, and as events occur throughout each day, they are automatically removed from the displays based on their end time. The room schedule was automated by integrating JPCL’s existing Evanced Event Software(Evanced) and a custom, Hammond-developed Scala HTML widget built with AngularJS that includes the room name, date/time, and a list of today’s events for that room.
